I was hired by London Craft Week in their inaugural year to set out a social media strategy and help them implement it. What began as a small team, rapidly expanded with each year, and so did the scope of what could be done on social.

My services were retained each year up to and including 2017, after which they had reached a point where they could assemble a permanent in-house team to manage their social media and strategy. In the 3 years in which I helped them go from launch to a successfully established London annual event, we covered hundreds of makers, three launch parties at the V&A, a talk by Grayson Perry and a performance by Wang Dongling.

I established both the initial quality standards across social platforms, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, working with their comms team to make sure the language and messaging was right and that all their partners were included. I proposed categories of content and activity, from meet the makers features to behind the scenes previews. What I helped them set up in those early years, now remains as the foundation upon which they've now built and refined their output.

If you get the chance, I recommend you go to some of their events, check out what's happening this year at their website http://www.londoncraftweek.com/ and follow them on their beautiful Instagram.
